Someone called saying they wanted £50 for some sponsors for the fusiliers diary. I checked with the Royal Fusiliers and they have no clue who these people are. Though, they did mention they'd like to have a little chat with them if you catch my drift.

This was a mobile phone number that rang me. They claimed they needed sponsors for something called the Fusiliers Diary. When I requested their charity registration number, they couldn’t provide it. Who actually makes cold calls from a mobile? Definitely seemed fishy and I reckon it’s a scam!

He called about sponsorship for some fusiliers calendar. I told him to send over any papers or proof about who they are so I could have a look. Said he would send it later. Seemed like a sound bloke, looked honest enough. I’ll wait to see the documents first before making up my mind.
