I got a text claiming to be from HSBC about a payment try on a new gadget, with a link to check it out. Problem is, I don’t use HSBC at all. This is the second time I’ve gotten one of these messages. Definitely seems fishy to me.

I never got a call, just got a message saying someone tried to make a payment on a different device. The text claimed it was from hsbe, but I don’t bank there, so I just left it alone.

If you bank with HSBC, be careful with this number. They send a link that looks like it's from HSBC but it's fake, and if you click on it and put your info in, they end up stealing from you. It’s definitely a scam, don’t trust it!
