Got a recorded call supposedly from AMAZON saying I needed to PRESS 1 about a £95 PRIME subscription. Normally, these come from landlines, but this one was from a mobile number which seemed odd. Total SCAM for sure. I just BLOCKED the number straight away.

Upon picking up the call, I was met with silence on the other end.

I received a rather alarming phone call today, where the individual on the other end asserted they were part of a team investigating online fraud. They were quite insistent that there had been some suspicious transactions on my Visa card, which they alleged were related to gambling activities. It raised quite a few red flags for me!

I got a call saying that money had been taken from my account by Amazon and some overseas company. I didn’t say a word, just hung on until they ended the call, then I put the phone down.

Someone called pretending to be from Amazon, saying they were going to withdraw money from my bank accounts.

So this bloke rings up, says he’s from BT and wants to sort out my internet speed!! Then tries to get me to let him take control of my computer remotely 😂😂 I told him no chance! They should be sending Openreach, not some dodgy caller. Then he just hung up on me. Proper cheeky! 😂😂

Got a call saying it was from the Online Fraud Team, said £800 was being taken from my Visa for some gambling in the US. They told me to press 1 to cancel it. Thing is, I don’t even own a Visa card and they never said which bank it was supposed to be from. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Got a voicemail about some dodgy transaction on a card that’s not mine, telling me to press 1 to chat with the fraud team. Smells like a scam, probably a premium rate line or summat.
