I find it really baffling how someone has been messing about with this number since 2014, especially when I know the bloke on the other end is a decent guy I’ve known over 15 years. He’s definitely not involved in any dodgy car trading. For starters, who in their right mind sticks with the same mobile number for nearly a decade if they’re a shady car dealer? And secondly, if 'Sarah' was genuinely interested in buying a Volkswagen Eos that was supposedly listed on Gumtree, why would she waste time putting questions on here instead of ringing directly? I’m really worried that my mate’s phone number is still getting a bad reputation. I’ve worked with him for 20 years, and he’s well-known as a respected athletics coach. A lot of people have called him ‘ethical and trustworthy,’ and that’s exactly how I’d describe him too. He’s never been mixed up in any dodgy car business, not at all.

I’d say honest and reliable are spot on when talking about Peter. He’s got a background in education and sports, nothing to do with cars. The person posting anonymously is pretty well known for holding grudges about a breakup that didn’t go their way and just can’t move on even after all this time. Peter wouldn’t have a clue about fixing a spark plug! The constant digs like ‘Dr’ come from the fact he’s an academic, not a doctor. My tip for anyone reading this? Those rude, negative remarks make no sense at all. Dr Baker’s history is all about sports and education. He’s honest, dependable, and always careful to be fair and respectful to people, always giving them a fair chance.

I’ve known Dr Baker both as a workmate and a mate for over two decades. The bad reviews about his mobile popped up initially in 2014, started by someone from his professional circle who had a grudge. That person was identified and the police got involved, so the comments stopped for a while. Lately, the same person has brought them back every now and then, and once again the police have been informed but don’t seem to be able to do much. Honestly, anyone reading those awful posts should just dismiss them. If you think about it, they’re all posted anonymously, which isn't surprising. And I’ve heard that dodgy people who mess around with cars tend to swap their mobile numbers as often as they change their clothes, not stick with the same one for years.

Steer well clear of this Wimbledon bloke who reeks of cigars and runs a dodgy car business. He’s not got a mum in any care home, and he definitely hasn’t just sold a pricey Range Rover to take in ‘this’ car part exchange. This chap gets hold of some pretty sketchy motors, mostly VWs, from a garage and pretends they’re his own to sell. He’s a downright liar, and given the poor state of the cars he’s flogging, it’s a danger to anyone who buys from him. He even juggles a handful of phones to keep tabs on calls about the different cars he’s got listed. When I bought a Polo off him - Peter Baker said it had been serviced recently - a thorough check by VW Swindon uncovered loose pipes, worn brakes, fuel leaks, oil leaks, and missing exhaust brackets. Don’t believe the paperwork for a second. In short, don’t trust this guy and just back away. He’s been pulling these stunts for years.

Even in 2018, this fake doctor is still running his scams. The cars he’s pushing - if they're even his - look really sketchy, and he’s got a nasty, rude way about him. Steer well clear of both him and those dodgy vehicles. He used to be around Wimbledon, trying to flog cars right on the roadside. He gets really annoyed if you ask normal questions about the cars, which is totally fair if you don’t want to get ripped off. Honestly, stay away - he’s nothing but a conman.

He told me the car was a family one, but then accidentally mentioned he'd only owned it for a couple of weeks. After buying it, the car broke down after less than 100 miles of driving. Total rip off.

To whom it may concern, I’ve had this mobile number for quite some time now and came across a post linked to it that is completely false and made anonymously. I have never sold any vehicle that I didn’t legally own, nor have I abused anyone verbally. It’s obvious from just reading it that the claim is malicious - anyone trying to follow what the post suggests would actually be committing both theft and fraud, since they’d be selling a stolen car. If any of it were true, the police would be involved straight away, not some anonymous internet comment.
