Got a message saying: scam alert from Halifax - it claimed I’d approved a £220 payment to a Mr Jones. If it's not your doing, they said to cancel it by contacting halifax personal-payee[###]. Definitely sounded dodgy to me!

Got a call saying it was from Halifax about approving a payment of £220.00. I actually use Halifax, and this definitely isn’t how they get in touch. Don’t be fooled and definitely avoid clicking on any links!
