Got a call from 08000803241 saying they were doing some research for a bank. I told them I'd ring the bank myself and then ended the call. If they call again, I'll make sure they know trying to scam folks doesn’t end well.

Got a call from someone asking about a crash I was supposedly involved in, which is not true. I questioned the woman on the other end and she just ended the call. When I tried ringing back, the number didn’t go through, seemed fake. This keeps happening daily and it’s really annoying. I’ve told them to quit phoning me and take my info off their lists but I’m still getting calls nonstop.

Unknown number - just one of loads! Both landlines and mobiles keep ringing but I’m ignoring most now coz I’m getting swamped. Blocked this one after reading these comments, cheers for that. I do like having a landline but it’s proper annoying with all these calls from god knows when, sometimes as early as 7am and into the evening. Seriously, who are these lot? They should find something better to do instead of pestering everyone!

Whenever I get calls from numbers that seem a bit dodgy, I pick up just to see what's going on but usually keep quiet. Sometimes they'll chat, other times they just drop the call. This time, they just ended it straight away.

Got a call this morning from some bloke claiming to be from Aviva about my life insurance. When I questioned him, he turned really nasty and ended up telling me to f##k off. Lovely, right?

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent asking if I had life insurance with Aviva. I told him I wasn’t interested in renewing anything. He said it wasn’t a sales call, so I asked what the call was actually about, then he just hung up on me!

He claimed to be ringing from A viva but when I asked why he was using a mobile, he said something about power issues with their phones. Then he admitted they’d never cover those costs so switched to saying he was from Easy Life. I told him if he thought I’d believe that, he was dreaming. Then he got rude and started shouting. Blocked him straight away.

Got a bloke from Asia ringin me and he started shouting and swearing at me when I told him to quit botherin me. 12 calls over a couple of days. Then he rang again just swearin like mad. I’ve let the cops know and also got in touch with his home country's fraud department. They’re lookin into it, got his address, and are talking to the phone company to get all the call records.

Got a call where the bloke asked me to confirm my name and postcode. Claimed he was from Nationwide, but when I told him I dont have an account there, he just said he knew that. Then he started asking about my mortgage situation. Definitely a dodgy scam! Blocked straight away!

Got a call from an Asian bloke asking for me. I told him who I was and gave my postcode. Then he started going on about a Hotpoint washing machine I supposedly bought three years ago. He guessed I was 55, but I told him I'm 25. After that, he asked if there’s anyone aged 55 in my house. When I said no, he just hung up. Tried calling back, but it just doesn’t ring through.

Got a call from a guy saying he was from Marks and Spencers. He was Asian and actually knew my name (which I foolishly said yes to). He said they wanted to send me some high street vouchers to my phone. When I asked why they’d do that, he just said thanks quickly and hung up. Could hear what sounded like a call centre in the background, but not sure if it was legit or not. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam though, so watch out. I’m definitely putting this number on my block list!

Got a call from a lady with a strong Asian accent - honestly hard to catch what she was saying. She said she was from Hotpoint and wanted to check which washing machine brand I’m using. When I asked why she needed that info, she got pretty pushy. Then, when I asked where she’d found my number, she just lost it and ended the call right there. I’ve blocked the number since then.

A man claimed to be calling from Legal and General, but when I pointed out that this number was registered with the TPS and they were basically breaking the rules, he told me to shut up and listen. He then proceeded to throw in a few swear words. I found it amusing how he was using English swears incorrectly - pretty clear it wasn’t his native tongue - so I started giving him a quick lesson on how to use them properly. He ended the call after I wished him a bus accident on his way home.
