This was definitely a scam, pretending to be Royal Mail and saying you need to pay to get a parcel redelivered! Royal Mail doesn’t keep people’s mobile numbers for every single package, and they don’t ask for money to re-send parcels. If a delivery fails, they simply leave a note telling you how to sort out a new delivery date. To anyone, especially older or more trusting folks, if you get one of these messages, just block it, delete it, and don’t reply - don’t let these dodgy scammers catch you out.
