Honestly, it’s your choice if you want to give in to their demands, no one’s snatching cash from your wallet - you’re handing it over voluntarily. So, who’s really in the wrong here - the one asking or the one paying up? I’d say it’s wise to do a bit of digging before parting with any money, especially if the person on the phone rubs you the wrong way. It takes both sides to make this happen. From what I can tell, nobody’s really suffered any harm so far.

This number 07928745441 kept calling me repeatedly, like 5 times! The person on the other end was really pushy and didn’t speak English properly at all. Quite annoying.

My pregnant partner got some really hostile calls today. They actually used her name, then just hung up. This happened like five times throughout the day. When she finally tried to ask who it was, the caller got all aggressive and even threatened her, saying they knew where she lived. We’ve reported it to the police and 02, but honestly, 02 didn’t do much to help. It’s been really stressful for us.

Been getting loads of calls from this landline (01553780113) nearly every day for weeks. They usually ring just before or just after at similar times, so I’m guessing it’s probably the same shady lot behind it!

Got a couple calls from the exact same number. The first one was some bloke trying to pitch me trading stuff. I chatted with him a bit, hoping he’d take my number off their list since I’d already got calls from these lot on a different number. Then, out of the blue, another guy rang from the same number and started calling me names, saying I was a liar and pointless or something. Proper unpleasant bunch. I’m really curious where they’re based!
