Just got a call from the same number, picked up and they asked to speak to me, so i said who’s this please and then the call ended straight away. Really frustrating!!!

Got a call saying I owed money and that I’m under the UK government’s watch or something, not really sure what that was about. Told them I don’t owe a thing and they just ended the call. Kinda wish I knew what they were after. It’s so frustrating this kind of thing keeps happening!

Got a ring from 07928 554888. They claimed to be from some Debt Dept, same rubbish as always. I just cut the call, this has been going on since late November and I’m fed up now. Honestly, someone should do something about these calls.

Got a call from an Asian bloke pretending to be from the citizens advice bureau, saying something about my debts. He knew my full name, which made me suspicious, so I asked where he got the details from. He said it was the financial conduct authority. I told him how daft did he reckon I was, because the CAB don’t just ring people up out of the blue and the FCA regulates banks, not personal debt cases. He tried to dodge my questions, but I wasn’t having any of it and when I called him out, he swore down the line and hung up on me.

Got a call from a guy saying he was Eric, working for some Credit Investigation outfit, said I'm in debt to someone. He claimed that I needed to pay extra to settle it faster. Because of his accent, I think he mentioned that if I didn't sort it, the debt collectors would come round. When I asked for details about how much and who I owed, the call just cut off.

I just got a call but the person hung up right when I picked up. I tried calling back but it didn’t ring, it just ended straight away. After searching the number online, I found this page and realised it’s a scam. I’ve blocked the number and reported it to my phone company now. Got a call from this number, an Asian guy answered and claimed he was from some Investigation Department about my debts. I asked what exactly he meant, and he goes, "Do you have any loans or a bad credit card?" I just thanked him and ended the call - pretty clearly a spam call.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was from C.A.B. Said I owed some money, so I humoured him when he said I qualified for a government help scheme. I asked him, ‘How do you have a direct line to a Police Station in Liverpool?’ (I’m up here in Scotland!!) He started rambling nonsense, so I told him I’d be handing his number over to be tracked. Then he said the FCA had given him permission to ring me. I just laughed and hung up.

Got a call from an Asian guy, said he wanted to talk about my unsecured debts. When I asked how he got my details, he said something about the DRS - Debt Recovery Service. I brought up GDPR and he just ended the call straight away.

I had this bloke on the phone for about 20 minutes just messing around with him. I fed him a load of made-up stuff, speaking with a thick Scottish accent (though I'm actually from Yorkshire), which totally confused him (haha). By the end, he asked if I was taking the mick, and I told him "I'm with the fraud squad and we've tracked your number now!" He just calmly replied, "I shagged your mum," then slammed the phone down :-)

Got a call from this number, some guy said he was calling from the citizens advice bureau. He told me he’d received legal notices about my unsecured debts, which is rubbish because I have none. Then he said I’d been picked for some government debt relief scheme. Asked who sent those letters cos it sounded dodgy and he just hung up on me.

07928554888 - Got a call from someone claiming to be from the "Credit Investigation Department," saying they were from Manchester and asking about debts I supposedly owe, but I don’t owe anything. The bloke wouldn’t tell me his name or give a number to ring back, and when I asked for details he just hung up, saying he’d call again tonight. I checked with the real Financial Conduct Authority and they said they’re aware of this company and warned me not to share any info, looks like a scam. I’ve reported this number to them and blocked it now.

Got a call from a guy with an asian accent who said his name was "Andy Phillips" (sure, mate!) claiming to be from some credit company. He actually knew my name though. When I asked where he got my number from, he just let out this weird squeaky laugh and then dropped the call.

About 5 minutes ago, an Asian gentleman called saying he was from a credit fraud dept. I just asked him why, and he began to hesitate and stammer. When I pressed him again for an explanation, the call suddenly dropped. My tip is, don't give out your name until they properly identify who they are and which company they represent.

I immediately knew it was a scam, so I asked, “Who on earth are you?” He snapped back saying I shouldn’t talk like that and called me a nasty name! Proper sketchy behaviour.
