I came across a notification claiming to offer complimentary PCR tests for the omicron variant. However, after doing some research, it appears to be a scam. The website looked remarkably genuine, resembling the NHS, but from what I gather, tests specifically for omicron aren’t actually being provided. Furthermore, in the UK, legitimate PCR tests can only be accessed through the official government website.

Received a rather dubious text claiming to be from the NHS Health Department. It stated that I was in close contact with someone who tested positive for Omicron and insisted I should arrange for a PCR test. Quite frankly, I suspect it's a scam as I haven’t received any proper communication regarding track and trace. Besides, I wouldn’t expect them to specifically mention Omicron in a text; they usually refer to it simply as Covid. Seems a bit off to me!
