Got a text that began with 'Hi mum', which was a dead giveaway straight away that it was a scam because I never call anyone 'mum' in texts. I ended up stringing the scammer along all day, just replying with nonsense while they hassled me for £1644. Eventually, I just blocked the number and left it at that.
