I’ve been digging online for ages and finally hit the jackpot. My grandma, who’s 86, got stung with a whopping £22,800 bill for a roof that didn’t even need work. Trading standards reckon it should’ve been about £2500-3000 max. This smells like a total rip-off to me. Does anyone know the bloke’s full name or where he’s based?

Got a call from someone claiming to be an energy advisor, but it turned out to be this bloke Darren, who’s really just a dodgy scammer pretending to be local. Total rip-off!

07927 266193 kept pestering my mum about repairing her roof. Once we found out he was asking for way more than what’s normal - like six times the usual cost - he suddenly claimed he had to get petrol for his van and just vanished. Never came back after that. We’ve reported him to trading standards and luckily, it turns out this guy’s already flagged with loads of fraud complaints.

Looks like this guy's connected to a bunch of different fake firms, all run by folks who probably don’t know much about what they’re doing. Most of the companies he’s tied to seem pretty much throwaway. I think the phone number traces back to someone on Facebook living in Bournemouth.
