I reckon the person calling about being a close contact is a scammer, but it feels a bit off to me. It’s almost like someone connected to the actual contact tracing might be behind it, especially since someone in my workplace genuinely tested positive just before. Too much of a coincidence, if you ask me.

Beware of this one, it’s a SCAM trying to steal your bank info. They tell you’ve come into contact with Omicron and rush you to a website that looks just like the NHS to book a PCR test. But then they want your personal and payment details. Seriously dodgy stuff, so don’t fall for it!

The website looks pretty official and says it’s free, but you have to pay 99p for delivery. They even try to scare you by saying it’s a legal requirement to take the test, which is total nonsense.
