This is clearly a scam related to HMRC, and it seems that the authorities are turning a blind eye, perhaps because it serves their own interests!

I got a text claiming to be from DPD UK saying my parcel delivery got delayed and that I should check a website for more details. I wasn’t expecting anything, so I didn’t click the link. Pretty clear scam! This is the second time they’ve tried this on me!

most likely one of those test calls to see if anyone's actually there. so i just keep silent and wait for them to say something first.

Just got a random call from Carphone Warehouse. They said they got my info from O2, and were trying to sell me a new iPhone! Don’t even know how they got my number, felt a bit sus.

This bloke said he was from EE, but honestly, I was dead polite and told him we weren’t interested. He kept pushing to talk to my MD, even though I said my boss didn’t want anything to do with it. No matter how many times I said it, he didn’t get the hint. He just kept going on about speaking to the MD. After probably saying no about ten times, I finally told him goodbye and hung up. Total waste of time for both of us, really.
