Got a call from some so-called ‘national ppi refund dept’, and it was just a mobile number. What a load of rubbish! I ended the call straight away and blocked the number.

Total scam alert. My mate got a call from some bloke who was fishing for my info through her. She said no, and he said he’d ring back at another time. I checked this site out (thanks for that btw) and told her it’s definitely dodgy, so she blocked the number straight away. The guy even switched to some language that sounded Indian, probably thinking he knew my mate’s accent - which he got completely wrong! Absolute scam, scam, scam.

this person rang claiming my ppi claim was approved and I was due £3500. when I wouldn't give my address to confirm, they started getting really annoyed. I asked them why they were acting like that if this was meant to be a proper business call. then they mumbled something about if I even wanted the cash and insulted me with some swear words. I just laughed, told them they were pathetic, and ended the call.

Got a call from this number, but the caller never spoke a word. I could hear loads of people talking and phones ringing like a call centre in the background, then they just hung up on me.

They called about some PPI thing, said they’d post me a cheque. I just hung up straight away. Total scam, watch out!

this bloke called me saying he had some kind of ppi check ready, but claimed he couldn’t send anything until I gave him my bank info. I told him no way, and he got really angry quick before hanging up on me. definitely a dodgy scam, watch out!

Some bloke called saying he was with the national refund team. I told him to drop me an email as I was busy at work and couldn’t chat then. Since he didn’t know my email, and if he was legit, they’d already have my details from the start. After that, I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the PPI refund team. I've never even made a claim or anything. Total nonsense if you ask me.

I told them to state their name but they just kept going so I ended up hanging up. Always feels dodgy when they won’t say who it is right away!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the PPI refund team, saying I had a payout pending from a loan I supposedly took. Thing is, I've never even had a loan! When I told him that, he just swore at me and told me to ‘f*ck off’! Proper rude.
