They kept ringing me while I was away on holiday. I attempted to return the call but it just wouldn’t go through. It was a mobile number, so I got a bit anxious. My signal was really rubbish, so I couldn’t check online if it was a dodgy caller. Proper gutted to find out later it was a scam, especially as I genuinely tried calling them back. Definitely a lesson learned.

Just a heads up, I’m based in the UK. Received another call from 07925 494160 earlier today, 27th June 2017. They claimed to be from Citizens Advice (as if!), but little do they know I actually work for them myself. They were prattling on about helping me with debt, but when I mentioned my connection with CAB, they insisted that they were collaborating with the government despite not being affiliated with CAB. I told them I have no debts at all, and they promptly hung up on me. If anyone else is experiencing similar phone calls, I'd strongly advise reporting them to Action Fraud at 0300 123 2040. This organisation works alongside the police to tackle these nuisance calls that can really unsettle people. Sadly, I’m now faced with the prospect of changing my landline number because they’re using a mobile and the Telephone Preference Service can’t block those. It’s really frustrating, especially as I'm currently job hunting and my landline is listed on all my CVs. What a nuisance!

Received yet another call today, 27th June 2017, from the number 07925 494160. They claimed to be representing Citizens Advice (what a giggle, considering I actually work there!). They said they could help me wriggle out of debt, to which I promptly replied that I was part of CAB and this was all a sham. They then insisted they weren’t affiliated but were collaborating with the government. I informed them that I had no debt to worry about, and they abruptly ended the conversation. If anyone else is facing these nuisance calls, please do report them to Action Fraud at 0300 123 2040. They coordinate with law enforcement to tackle these annoying calls and alleviate people's worries. Sadly, I’m going to have to get a new landline number since they contact me from a mobile, rendering the Telephone Preference Service useless. It’s quite frustrating, especially since I’m currently in the middle of job hunting and my landline number is plastered across all my CVs. What a nuisance!

Some bloke with a foreign accent called me claiming he was from Citizens Advice about a debt. I told him I don't owe anything. He kept insisting I have about "6 grand" in debt! I’m certain I don’t owe a single penny to anyone.

Annoying calls - I’ve now stopped putting my phone number on any cvs I upload to job sites online - everytime I do, the amount of calls from these sort of firms goes up a lot. The Indeed website seems to be the main one doing it!!

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming my details had been sent to CAB because I owe money or something!!! The moment I said "oh really?" all cheeky like, he just ended the call straight away!!!

This number has been ringing me every couple of days. I've been too tied up to pick up most times, but when I try to call back, it either ends the call right away or just keeps ringing until it drops. Today it rang early this morning while I was still in bed, woke me up. I answered and got hung up on immediately. Just pointless calls from someone who clearly has nothing else going on.

They ring me nearly 9 times every single day! Picked up once and it was a bloke with an Indian accent telling me I owed money to CAB. Never heard of CAB, and don’t owe anything. Told him to take me off their list, and I’ve blocked the number as well.

A bloke with an accent claiming to be from Citizens Advice rang me. I told him my number’s on the TPS and to stop calling, then I ended the call. He phoned me again within 10 seconds! I asked if his family would be proud of the rubbish job he’s doing, and he ended up calling me a proper [email protected]d.

Some woman said she was from Citizen Advice Bureau and started talking about debts I supposedly owe. I told her it’s not something she should be worried about, especially since I don’t owe anything. She just hung up on me. Really impolite, definitely could do with some training on how to speak to people.

Got a call from this number claiming to be Citizens Advice about debt, I said no and they just dropped the call immediately. Seems like a scam to me, proper Citizens Advice always send letters first before asking you to ring them back.

Got a call from some bloke, sounded like he was overseas, claiming he was with a Government dept and that I owed cash. Asked if he should send me a letter about it. I told him I didn’t owe anything and called him out as a fraud, then he just hung up quick. What a cheeky sod!

Called my home phone a couple times but never left a message. I rang back from my mobile but no answer. Seems like a strange, lonely individual ringing for no reason. I'll just make sure to ignore it next time.

Some bloke named Sam phoned me, asked how I was, and then like loads of others, I kept gettin calls from him for like three days straight. When I finally picked up, he was on about some debts I supposedly owe. I told him I don’t owe anything and he just hung up. Do yourself a favour and block this number straight away if it rings you.

Got a missed call on my mobile, so I called back from my landline and the number was just dead. Bet it’s another cheeky scammer. They had no luck with me lol

got two calls from this number today, once at 10 in the morning and then again around 6 in the evening. i hung up the first call, but the second time there was just dead silence, even though you could tell someone was there. feels like pure harassment.

I answered the call since it showed a mobile number, thinking it might be someone I knew. But then a guy came on with loads of background noise and said he was ringing from "citizen advisors". As soon as I heard that, I just said I was tied up and ended the call.

picked up the phone and it was from a mobile number. dude started on about debts and payments. got angry when i questioned him and just hung up. i’ve blocked the number since then.
