I received a call from someone claiming to be a solicitor regarding interest fees linked to an overpayment from Provident.

I got a call from a woman who kept calling me Laura, saying she was with a solicitor's office about something to do with the Provident opt in/out thing. She told me Provident was only offering 10% on claims and that since she worked for a solicitor, they could help claim more money, all on a no win no fee basis. I'm feeling really uneasy now because I ended up giving her my ID and NI number and I’m not sure if I’ve been scammed or not.

Twice now this number has rung me, but I missed it both times. When I tried calling back, no one picked up.

Got a call from a woman, maybe Scottish or something, but I wasn’t interested so I just blocked the number.

I didn’t pick up at first, but when I called them back, a Scottish lady answered and said “aww for ####’s sake” and then just cut me off. After that, she wouldn’t pick up again.
