Another unknown number popped up - anyone got a clue who it might be???

This was one of those classic "Windows Support" cons - the caller was insisting I needed to do something on my computer. I quickly cut her off and told her she ought to turn herself in for trying to scam people and demand ransom money. She tried to talk over me, saying "How do you know about this?" I told her I work in IT security, and if she stayed on the line a bit longer, I could pinpoint exactly where she is for the cops. She ended the call straight away, and I blocked the number. Pretty sure it was a ransomware attempt. Honestly, I’d lock these scammers up and toss away the key!

I got a call from an Asian lady whose accent I couldn’t really catch. Honestly, I’m relieved I didn’t get involved further. Cheers for the heads-up.

So, this guy with an Asian accent rings up asking for someone by name and starts pushing some “call guardian service” on me. I told him to put me on the do not call list and then he just hung up. Not even half a minute later, he called my old mother-in-law. Weird thing is, the only place I've seen those two numbers side by side is the Telephone Preference Service, so looks like someone’s gone and sold that info...

Got a call from a lady who sounded Asian, asking to talk to someone about a computer they'd supposedly been using. She claimed that every time it was used, others could see their actions. When I tried to find out which company she was representing, she just cut the call straight away. Didn’t get to ask her if it was something to do with cloud monitoring or whatever. Funny thing is, the person she wanted to speak to has actually been dead for ages.
