So this person messaged me saying "hiya mum, I lost my phone can u text me on this new number?" I rang the number they sent but no one picked up. I haven't tried calling the other number they gave yet, but I did reply to the one that texted me, acting like the mum. Waiting to see if they answer back but it smells like a total scam to me. I’ll keep everyone posted on what they say. Also gonna look into that other number too.

Got a text off 07522062557 saying "Hey Mum, message me on 07922459059, I dropped my phone and the screen’s busted." I’m childless, so it’s obviously just a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be a relative, but it turned out to be another scam. Instantly blocked.

Somebody rang up saying my phone screen was damaged and wanted me to pay £720 - total scam!

Total scammer alert! They said they were family but said their phone was messed up. Definitely trying to con me. When I called them out, they started swearing at me. Best thing to do is just block and report them!
