Got a recorded message on my mobile claiming there was an unauthorised payment of thousands to Amazon and some other firm. They never mentioned which bank or card they were talking about. The caller tried to get me to press 1 or 2 to speak to their fraud team to "stop" the charges... yeah, right. The whole thing was designed to scare you into acting. I just ended the call straight away. Don’t bother listening to the whole thing, just hang up. If you’re concerned, ring the phone number on the back of your card yourself.
