02056296458 rang just before 16:30, with a bloke using a robotic voice saying something like: "Hello, this is British Telecom informing you that your internet service will be disconnected within 24 hours due to detected hacking activity. Press 1 for more info, or 2 for other questions." That's about all I can recall. I didn’t respond and stayed silent, then the call ended after about a minute. This was the fifth call like this I’ve had today. The previous four were earlier, one after the other, some even with a woman’s voice.

Got a really scary call from someone with a dodgy Asian accent claiming to be from a government debt office, saying I owe money - which is totally not true. Nearly gave me a heart attack! They keep ringing non stop, no matter how many numbers I block, they just call from a new one. They go on about supposed debts and even use my old name, which I legally changed over two years ago. I don’t owe anything, I say that and they just hang up without even a sorry for disturbing. Now I never give them my real name. I really feel sorry for people who aren’t so clued up about these fraudsters, especially the elderly and sick folks. Loads must fall for it or they wouldn’t still be on the go. Total scum preying on vulnerable people. Don’t give them a single bit of your info!

For the past year, i've had loads of calls from people with Asian accents on 07 numbers saying they're debt advisors or from the CAB, supposedly Manchester based. Best not to give them any details. Just hang up, but sadly they just keep calling.

Been getting calls from this number and honestly, I feel bad for anyone who’s actually fallen for their nonsense, proper dodgy lot. I like to mess with them a bit so they reckon they’re winning, but I never give out any details - makes me more annoyed than them, honestly. If some vulnerable person actually believed their stuff it’s just awful, makes me proper sick. Blocking this number from now on for sure.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said he was from Citizens Advice about some debts on a loan and credit cards. I've never had a loan and don't even use my credit card anymore. Definitely a scam. Watch out if you get calls like this and don’t say "YES" under any circumstances. Blocked the number straight away!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent sayin he was from the CAB and that I supposedly had some debts I might need help with. I asked which company it was and he said Lowell. When I wanted to know who Lowell was collecting for, since they’re debt collectors, he just asked if I didn’t know who I owed money to and then hung up on me. I rang Lowell myself and they said they had no record of me at all.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he wanted to help me with some monthly payments I supposedly owe. I asked where he got my number and he said a credit agency. When I asked who he actually was, he just went quiet. I ended the call and blocked the number, but I’m sure they’ll try calling from another phone. I’m so tired of this nonsense. There should be a way to report these calls and have their numbers banned. Nobody seems to do anything or even bother.

I told her it sounded a bit fishy, and she nearly shouted at me saying she was being honest. My numbers are all on the TPS register, so I've got a recorded message saying that if they don't have my permission, they should just hang up. Weirdly enough, most of them seem to listen to that!

Luckily I’ve got an app on my phone that tracks these kinds of callers. They’re pretty speedy at switching to numbers close to the ones I block though. When I do pick up (which doesnt happen often) I just let them go on while I get distracted with something else more worthwhile. So far, they’ve always ended the call before I get back. Typical!

Got a call from someone with an Indian or Pakistani-sounding accent, but they never gave their name or the company they were ringing from. When I asked who he was and why he was calling, he said something about a credit investigation firm. Then he just hung up on me. I asked for a website and he mentioned something like 'ukmoneyadvice[###]' but then brushed it off saying not to worry about it and carried on talking about loans and debts and the usual nonsense.
