I received a similar call not long ago. When I inquired about which property he was referring to, he replied with 'an empty house.' I quickly said I wasn't interested and ended the call. Definitely a con artist!

A chap rang me up claiming to be from a housing maintenance service, saying I’d lodged a complaint about cracks and damp issues. When I pressed him for details about the organisation he was representing, he merely repeated his line. He was quite courteous, referring to me as 'ma'am', which felt rather off compared to my past dealings with local authority repair teams. I ultimately decided to end the call, as it all seemed a bit dodgy.
