Got a call from someone saying they're Anthony O'Connell with the HSE, saying they're doing random Covid spot checks. But since all the legal rules ended on Monday the 19th of July, this has gotta be a fraud!

Got a call from someone claiming to be doing random checks for COVID rules, total scam. They start talking about needing some sort of licence and asking for cash, which you definitely don’t need. Watch out for this one!

I got a call on my mobile from 07920 031457 claiming to be from the health and safety executive, saying they were doing random checks on open businesses. To me, it sounds dodgy since usually they’d send a letter first before any visit or investigation. Feels like a spoof to me. Has anyone else had anything similar happen? Would be good to hear if so.
