I didn’t get a phone call but a text message that claimed to be from Royal Mail saying I owed £2 for some delivery charge. The dodgy link in the message wouldn’t even get past my company’s firewall because it was marked as a serious phishing threat. The URL they sent was something like [#]royalmail.deliver-item[###], which looked fishy straight away. What made me even more suspicious was that just before receiving this message, I’d got a genuine email from Parcelforce about a parcel on its way to me. Luckily, my phone spotted it as spam, otherwise I might have taken it seriously.
