I got a call from some bloke asking if I was “Mrs. [maiden name].” I told him I wasn’t. Then he asked if I was related to her or something. I said no again, and he just ended the call. So, I blocked the number.

Just got a call about a PPI claim that I never even made. When I asked a few questions, the guy on the other end got really annoyed and ended up telling me to ‘buzz off’. Proper rude!

Some bloke with a funny accent rang me up asking “is this [MY NAME]?” I said yes, and he claimed to be from this place called Claim Eazy, mentioning something about a debt check that I’d supposedly agreed to. I told him I never signed up for any debt searches and then he just cut the call.

I got a call from a bloke who wanted to know what my name was before I got married, which was over seven years ago. That immediately made me think he definitely wasn’t someone I wanted to chat with. So, I just told him I had no idea who he was talking about and ended the call.

I got a call from a woman with a really thick accent, couldn't quite place where she was from. She claimed to be from Legal and General and mentioned my house number and postcode, which I accidentally verified. Then she asked if I was aged between 18 and 65, and when I asked what for, she just ended the call! Definitely blocking that number now.

Got a call on my mobile from an Asian bloke who already knew my name and where I lived. He claimed he was from Artival and Legal and General Life Insurance. He asked if I’d changed my insurance recently, I told him no. Then he said I don’t have life insurance, I explained I have it through work. After that, he just hung up. Number’s now blocked - 07919 284693.

got a call from a guy who sounded asian, loads of background noise as if he was in a busy place. said he represented some company called easy and that they’d been handling my ppi claim, which is total rubbish cos i never made one. he reckoned he’d got £3200 for me but had already kept £1200 as his fee. i started asking him a few questions and he got all tetchy, then just slammed the phone down on me. definitely be careful with this dodgy bloke, probably a scammer.

When I asked over and over what it was about, he started getting a bit rude and said he’d hang up if I didn’t cooperate, so I just let him go. Feels like a total scam to me, so I wouldn’t trust this number at all. No clue how he’d even got hold of my details.
