Not this exact number but 02036349339 showed up as local. A woman told me they were ringing about a car crash I supposedly had a few weeks back (which I definitely didn’t) so I ended the call. Looks like these scammers have access to loads of different numbers, not sure how or why BT lets it go on. Then again, I suppose it's good money for them so they don’t bother stopping it.

AMS has dialled me up three times already, once on a Liverpool line (0151 231 6788) and twice on a St Albans one (01992 282172). I tracked down a number online linked to a job advert for their call centre in Bootle - 0151 559 2187 - and actually got through to one of their staff. Didn’t mind hanging on for 15 minutes to mess about a bit (calls were free for me), and I reckon others should give it a go too.

I got a call from AMS Nationwide from 01937347312 claiming I’d been in an accident some time ago. I told them I never had any accident. The person on the phone then asked if maybe someone else living with me had, but I said no again. He then said he’d take my number off their list and ended the call pretty sharpish.

They’ve been phoning me about once a week for the past nine months from a STD code that looks like it’s local. I’ve told them loads of times to remove me from their list, cos my car was just parked at home when someone reversed into it - no one got hurt. But they keep saying I can claim for personal injury?! She then put me through to jc&a solicitors who sorted out the claim for me. I’m now £2000 richer, no bank info needed, they just sent a cheque through the post.

Really annoying. I keep getting calls from a Maldon area code (used to live there) about a car crash I had (I crashed my car into a telephone pole, silly me for going too fast). They ring me a couple of times daily. No matter what I do, they just won’t quit.

Got a call from AMS Nationwide on 01753 349698. They used fake customer names and claimed they were ringing about an accident I supposedly had in the past 2 and a half years. Classic scam to generate leads based on tricking people into thinking they’ve been in an accident. This must be one of those no win no fee solicitors who can’t seem to find clients through regular means like referrals. If you get a similar call, I’d recommend reporting it to the law society as it’s just not on.

Just got a call from a local Dundee number, which is why I picked up. On the other end was a bloke with a Liverpool accent claiming to be from AMS Nationwide about an accident claim. I asked who the name on the claim was and he said "Miss Noble". I then asked why he was ringing me if that wasn’t me. He admitted the system had the wrong info but when I asked to speak to his manager, he said he’d put me through. After waiting around 30 seconds with no reply, I just hung up. No idea what they think they’ll achieve by telling people they’ve been in an accident when they haven’t.

Got a couple of calls from this firm using my own local dialling code which is why I picked up. I ended up talking to a bloke with a Liverpool accent. I told him I'd already had calls from them before and asked him to stop ringing me as I wasn’t interested. His reply? If I met you in person, mate, I’d proper smack ya, you little sod. I couldn’t believe the language he used, honestly. Surely their calls are recorded, right? I'm quite tempted to report this to the police.

The number that showed up was 01618142937. The guy said he was from AMS Nationwide and was ringing about an accident. I asked where he got my details from, and he gave me some website link. He also mentioned a different name on the account he called, clearly not me, as I'm female and the person he referred to retired over 8 years ago, so his info was way out of date. Looks like they’ve shifted from an old spot, likely because they’re expanding. Legit firm, but I do agree with many previous remarks about their dodgy and sneaky tactics. The discrimination from some narrow-minded folks is truly appalling - they definitely need schooling in ethics, same as the company, so neither side comes off well here.

They’re recruiting: SEEKING BOTH EXPERIENCED & NEWBIE CALL CENTRE WORKERS Job title: Telesales Based in Bootle, Liverpool Field: Personal Injury Claims Pay: Minimum wage plus commission. Honestly, I’d be careful with firms like this who profit from what should be YOURS, especially if you’ve been in an accident. Got a call on my mobile from a woman speaking with a Liverpool accent, using the local code from where I live. She said she was with AMS Nationwide but I just hung up straight away.

Non stop calls from a local number that seems to be run over the internet, all about some accident I’m not involved in. They keep switching the number, so blocking one doesn’t stop the calls. They really ought to be shut down and the people behind it find real work.

Absolute leeches, the worst kind, who are now tricking my work mobile by using local area codes. Firstly, I haven’t had any accidents in ages, and secondly, how on earth do these lot get hold of the numbers?? Asked them for info about this supposed ‘accident’, but there’s nothing they could show me. Then I asked for a phone number to follow up with the Ombudsman, and they just slammed the phone down!

Had a call from a marketing firm about 7 months back, they said they deal with a bunch of solicitors. Was about a crash I had some time ago. Took around 15 mins of my time, now me and my missus are £2,000 better off. Honestly didn’t know I could claim anything. Seen loads of bad reviews but I reckon they’re unfair, no trouble at all. A really professional and careful marketing firm that collaborates with a group of solicitors called me around 7 months ago about a crash I had some time ago. It only took about 15 minutes of my time and now my wife and I have received £2,000 compensation. I hadn’t even realised we were entitled to anything. Got a call from a Wrexham number - 01978 638919, rang my mobile and somehow they knew my name and asked about an accident I supposedly had recently. I told them I hadn't had any accident. Then the line just dropped. I tried ringing back but only got a woman's voicemail saying if they phoned today they'd try again if it's something important. Beats me how they got my details.

I keep getting calls from AMS Nationwide on my cell, they keep using this 01823 number which is funny because it’s the area code round here. Weird thing is, I never pick up since I don’t hear the phone ringing when they call, even though other calls come through loud and clear. Plus, there’s been a few annoying texts from BT’s messaging service in the middle of the night - like 3 am! They called me three times and it woke me up, but I’m not even a BT customer. Proper annoying.

Got another call from AMS Nationwide earlier today, and honestly, they're ringing me way too often now. I made it clear I’ve never been in any car crash - actually, I don’t even own a car! They’re calling from the number 01635 792305, which looks like it’s a local line from Newbury in Berkshire. Proper nuisance this is.

I got a phone call from a woman named Sam who said she was ringing about a crash I supposedly had sometime in the past three years. The number showed up as 01685 643202, which is actually from Merthyr Tydfil, but she insisted she was calling from Liverpool! Just a load of scammers if you ask me.

Got a call from AMS Nationwide about a crash I was in last year where someone hit me from behind. They showed a local number on my phone but the bloke sounded like he was from Liverpool. He was saying my details were flagged because I hadn’t made a claim for personal injury. I said I wasn’t hurt, but he kept asking if I had shoulder or neck pain. About a week back, I was in a bit of a crash, and then out of the blue, these people rang me yesterday from a local number. I spoke to a young chap on the line for a little while and, to my surprise, he gave me some really useful tips. I thought I’d see what they were offering so I went ahead and talked to a law firm they connected me with. They asked for some details and soon after, organised for someone to visit me to sort things out. Honestly, it all went quite smoothly and without any hassle.

It's just another annoying call out of tons I’ve been getting about some accident and claiming compensation for injuries I never had. I’ve now reported this newest number to the ICO and the Office of Fair Trading to see if they can do something about it.

I got a call from AMS Nationwide on a local number, and they told me about some money I might be owed. They never asked for any bank info and explained everything clearly, so I figured, why not? They connected me with their legal team who handled my case properly, and I got my payment pretty fast. I’m quite pleased with how they helped me. I got a call from a number that looked local, and the person on the other end said my name. I thought it might be AMS Nationwide since it sounded familiar and near our bank. They claimed I’d been in an accident, which was total nonsense. It was so obvious they were trying to scam me, and I didn’t hold back on telling them off. Received a call from 01629 334993, a local number. A bloke with a Liverpudlian accent claimed I'd been in a car crash, which is completely untrue. I didn’t give him any personal details and just told him he’s got the wrong person. When I tried ringing back, it was just an automated voice. Proper nuisance - I’ll be sending a harassment warning if they bother me again.

I got a call today from 01282, looked like it was local so I picked up. Silence at the other end, no one said a word. When I rang them back, it went straight to that annoying voicemail that loads of folks have been mentioning. Safe to say, they've been added to my blocked numbers already.
