I got a call from a number beginning 079 but I keep all 079 numbers blocked since I don’t know anyone with those digits. If your phone has a caller blocking feature, I’d recommend adding 079 to the list of restricted area codes. These calls often turn out to be scams pretending to be from banks, Visa, or Virgin accounts. Also, I’ve noticed numbers with prefixes like 003, 004, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 0177, 018, 019, 020, 028, 074, 075, 077, 078, and 079 are usually dodgy. Most of the time they’re just trying to scam you.
