To the lovely older lady, if you’re unsure about who’s calling, just hang up and block the number. Your phone is there for your benefit, not for random people’s gain. So many businesses want to trick us into picking up just so they can make a quick profit. Don’t bother answering if you’re uncertain. Instead, put the kettle on, have a little dance around the room and think a cheeky thought! Life’s far too precious to be disrupted by someone else’s dodgy calls. Take care x

I've got a rule where I only pick up if I know the number belongs to a mate. If I don't recognise it, I just let it ring off. If they keep ringing, I block and report them straight away. Only once did I find a number that kept calling me was actually genuine - turned out to be an appointment reminder, which I checked here. I never answer unknown mobiles at all. If it was someone I know with a new number, they'd send me a text explaining it. So yeah, I just ignore it all. Just pour yourself a G and chill out - cheers from someone who's got right the same approach!
