Got a call from a guy with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from the British Medical Association, which sounded totally fishy to me. He was asking about my COVID jab status. He said he was ringing from the GMC about updating my Covid vaccine details for the government and them, and wanted to check if I’d had my jab. I told him he’d got the wrong person, and even if it was me, the GMC doesn’t handle health records like that. Then I just ended the call.

On 21st June 2022 at around 9:09 in the morning, someone rang me claiming to be from the General Medical Council. She started by asking if I’d had all my vaccinations and then quickly switched to asking about my life insurance cover. I told her this number's on the Telephone Preference Service list, and she just cut the call right away.

Someone rang me pretending to be from the GMC, asking if I'd had my covid jab and if I was happy with my GP's care. Got a call twice from someone with an Indian accent on my mobile. I asked why he needed that info, why he was calling from a mobile, and what right he had to ask. He just ended the call, so I blocked the number straight away!
