I got a call from someone saying they were running a survey about local GP surgeries. But then it turned into all these questions like do you have any complaints or appointments coming up. They even mentioned life cover when talking about complaints, which seemed odd. I told them I used to work for a big insurance company and asked why they were calling me since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service to avoid cold calls. When I asked what company they were from, the person just hung up suddenly. Very strange.

Got a call today from someone asking if they were talking to a Miss Rachel lol instantly figured it was a scam. They claimed to be from the General Medical Council, I asked which company had shared my info, and they couldn’t answer. Then they started asking about my Covid jabs, I was like, if you’re from the Medical Council you’d already have that info! Plus why are you ringing from a mobile? Ended the call as I was too busy to keep going.

For the last few months, I've been getting loads of calls from what sounds like a call centre in Pakistan, using tons of different phone numbers. They pretend to be from all sorts of companies, some even asking me for my bank details or payment for supposed debts - but I don’t owe anything. Honestly, best thing to do is just ignore any number you don’t know, look it up online, block it, and report it if you can. This sort of scam and harassment really needs to be stopped.
