I had someone claim they had V Festival tickets and I forked out £200 for them. Now they're outright refusing to refund me.

This bloke bought our vehicle and then promptly vanished after making the payment through PayPal, which has now decided to withhold funds, even though it wasn’t the account he should have used! We’ve lodged a report with the local constabulary. If anyone has information on how to tackle this, I’d be ever so grateful! We’ve just sold the car, and with a little one to care for, we desperately need those funds. Right now, it feels like we’re at our wits' end! Any assistance would be deeply appreciated!

Fake loan schemes and various dodgy scams floating about on Gumtree. I reckon they were either contacted by someone named Lee or Matthew.

Wouldn’t it be sensible for someone to provide an email address here? That way, everyone can connect and consider reporting to the local authorities. Gathering ample evidence is crucial in cases like these! With a bit of luck, you might just manage to tackle this fraudster, although I must emphasise that it’s unlikely to be a swift process. Speaking from personal experience, it’s quite the slog. Just a heads-up, we’re not referring to this particular fraudster; we've had our run-ins with another one entirely.

This bloke acquired our vehicle and took it away, but then PayPal reversed the transaction since the account he used wasn't his! We've reported the incident to the authorities. If anyone has any information, like a postcode, we would be really grateful! The reason we sold our car was that I'm expecting a baby and needed the funds, and now we find ourselves without both! Please, any assistance would be appreciated!
