a lady called, her english wasnt great, i asked what she wanted and she said i owed them money, i asked again who she was but she just repeated it. in the end i told her she was scamming me and she hung up, then she called back threatening to send "the big boys" to deal with me.

I got a call from a guy claiming to be from CAB, asking about some debts I supposedly have. I told him straight away that the CAB wouldn't call out of the blue to anyone who hasn't gotten in touch first. Then I pointed out the number he was calling from looked dodgy - no local or landline, which the CAB don’t use. He just replied, "So you don’t want our help then?" I said no and asked how he even got my number. He hung up on me after that. Don’t give them any info! The citizens advice bureau would never ring you unprompted about debts, no matter what.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Citizens Advice Bureau, same as what others have mentioned. They said we owed a load of money, which is rubbish because we don’t owe a penny. Smells like a scam but not sure what they want exactly. Just a heads up, Citizens Advice or any proper debt company wouldn’t ring from a mobile. Be careful out there. Think they might be trying to get personal info or something, not sure. My partner just kept saying we don’t owe anything and they finally gave up.

Got a call from a guy with a Pakistani accent about a week back, he asked for someone called Debbie when my daughter picked up. She said no one by that name lives here, and he just laughed before saying he was coming for her. My daughter’s 19 and pretty tough, so she just said “bring it on” and then he hung up. He called again today and said some really rude stuff to me, so I ended up blocking the number straight away.

Managed to keep the bloke chatting for about 15 minutes just for a bit of fun, I owe him £5000 apparently, told him I thought it was even higher. He couldn’t tell me my name either and the call came from a crazy busy call centre. Be careful, don’t pick up and block the number. From how he spoke, doesn’t seem like he’s getting far with his calls.

Today’s been mad busy with calls, got one from a number claiming to be Citizens Advice about loads of debts I supposedly had and that I was making payments on. Instantly knew it was dodgy since Citizens Advice wouldn’t just ring from a mobile about debts I don’t even have. Ended the call, blocked the number and reported it to my phone company.
