Got a call from an Asian lady who said my computer had issues, had me chuckling. She asked for my name and I told her Mickey Mouse. Totally a scam, she had no clue who I was. I reckon they might have swiped numbers from TalkTalk after that breach. What a laugh, honestly!

On Friday, I got a call from this number. A bloke with a Chinese accent claimed he was from the Citizen Advice Bureau and wanted to talk about some debt I supposedly owed. I told him I didn't owe anything and then he just ended the call.

This number rang me twice yesterday morning and woke me up from my sleep-in! Didn’t have a clue who it was so I looked it up and found all these warnings. Good thing I didn’t pick up. Sounds like a total scam, really hope they get nabbed and face the consequences.

I got a call from an Asian man with really bad English, and he asked me who he was talking to. I told him, "You called me, so you should know who you trying to reach and who you are." After a few mumbled apologies, he just hung up. Pretty clear to me it was some scammer having a go.

Some bloke called claiming to be Alex from Citizens Advice, talking about debts I supposedly owe - which I definitely don’t. I told him I actually work for Citizens Advice and that we don’t do cold calls like that. At that point, he got really defensive and started questioning why I wasn’t at work and which branch I worked at. I didn’t give him any more info and told him to take me off their list. 100% not really someone from Citizens Advice - sounds like a scammer pretending to be them to gain trust.

Some bloke called claiming to be a debt collector. I told him to prove who he was since the only credit I have is my mobile phone contract. Then he asked me for my details like my name and dob. I said "shouldn't you already have that if I owe you money?" Then he just went quiet and hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.

Just got a call a little while ago from someone with an accent, claiming to be from some credit check or whatever. They asked for me by name. I told them to get lost, as I’m not in debt to anybody and I could tell straight away it was a total con.

Some bloke called himself Jason, said he was with Credit Investigation UK and wanted to chat to me directly. He said there's no rush, just needed me to admit I owe money and say how much. Then he went on about some government scheme meant to help folks like me clear their debts. Sounds a bit dodgy to me! Like, really believable, yeah?

Got a call claiming to be from Citizens Advice, saying I'd been picked by the government to get support with debts - which is rubbish as I don’t owe anything. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Manchester. I pressed him for more info, like what debts or amounts they were talking about, but he couldn’t provide any details and just said the office had that info. I called him out for lying, and he immediately ended the call. This was the second time in a month I'd had a call like this; the previous caller was a woman.

this guy called me with a thick asian accent and said he was Barry from Citizens Advice. I told him he was talking rubbish cos I’d already checked with Citizens Advice’s main office and they said they don’t make calls like that! he just hung up on me. I usually just tell these scammers to jog on - they’re only after vulnerable people and it’s disgusting.

Some guy rang me and said his name was Jack, with a pretty strong Asian accent which I kind of mimicked. He went on as “Jack from Citizens Advice,” talking about unsecured debts. I told him £50 then, and said, “Alright Jack, from Citizens Advice about unsecured debts?” I was like, seriously??? I don’t owe anything, my credit’s spot on. Told him he was lying, then he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from Citizens Advice about my unsecured debts. I never even reached out to them, so I asked why he was calling me. He said they'd been given my details and were trying to offer help. When I asked where they were located, he said Manchester. I told him I didn’t believe the call was genuine and didn’t want to talk about anything. Then he said he wasn’t there to prove he was legit and just abruptly ended the call. It’s pretty scary to think if someone actually had debts, they might get caught out by these sorts of scammers.

Got a call from someone speaking with a thick Asian accent claiming to be from Citizens Advice. He said they’d been contacted by a company about my credit issues and wanted to discuss my debts. Since I don’t owe anything, I asked where they got their info from, but he dodged the question and just repeated “so you don’t have any debts?” I said no again and asked the company’s name, but he just ended the call. These scams really need to be cracked down on - pretending to be Citizens Advice is nasty, and I’m sure some more vulnerable folks might actually believe them.
