The number looked like it was from a proper mobile at first, but when I picked up, an automated voice told me my Visa/Mastercard payment of £845 had been declined and said to press 1 to sort it out. Very polite, but I wasn’t having any of it and just hung up! For starters, I only have that much in my account on payday, and secondly, I’m not expecting any payment at all right now. I checked here and can’t see any other reports about this number - it’s a first. Best thing to do is ignore it, hang up, or tell them to jog on. I’ve also let my bank know about it, just in case.
