I got a voicemail saying I was being prosecuted and they wanted me to call them back to sort it out. I didn’t bother returning the call though, instead I checked this website to find out if anyone else had experienced the same thing.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said she'd add me to a call blocking list starting the next day. They'd called me earlier, so I played along and gave them my details as Mrs Claus from 1 North Pole. She wanted to confirm the expiry date on my direct debit card, which she said was 2/21, and I went along with that. When she asked for my postcode, I told her she must already have it. Then, a man claiming to be a senior staff member took over and asked me the same questions, so I just kept agreeing. After about seven minutes, the call just suddenly ended!

Got a call about 8:15 from someone claiming to offer call blocking services, but I just blocked their number straight away.

I've been getting calls non stop from a guy, sounds like he's Asian, keeps pushin' this call blocking service on me, won't take a refusal. It's so annoying, they just keep ringing and ringing. Had to just hang up on them every single time.

My phone rang this morning about 08:47 (GMT) and it was an automated call. When I picked up, some guy with an Asian accent started asking me questions for what sounded like a survey, said it wouldn’t take long. I told him I was busy and it wasn’t a great time to talk but he kept pushing to carry on quickly. I ended the call and blocked the number. Could hear a racket in the background, probably one of those call centres in India. I get that folks need to make a living, but surely there’s a less annoying way than these random cold calls.

Got a voicemail from this number earlier, some bloke claiming to be a case manager from HMRC saying they were chasing me over some legal issue. They said to press 1 to talk about it. Knew straight away it was dodgy, glad to see others have flagged the same number already. Cheers for the heads up!

I just got a phone call from this number. The guy claimed he was with some company called UK Homes or something along those lines. I told him I hadn’t heard of them before, and when I asked for more info, he kept talking over me saying he was just trying to find out what the biggest brand in the UK was and needed to ask a few questions. When I pressed him again about the company’s details, he sounded like he muttered a swear word in a language I couldn’t place, then he abruptly ended the call. Proper cheeky and rude!

Got a call from someone saying they could give me a free blocker for unwanted calls. They wanted me to provide all my credit card info, so I just made up some numbers and then ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he wanted to sell me a call blocking service. I told him I already have call blocking on my phone and landline. Then he tries to convince me by saying he’s got a device to go with it. I asked why I’d need that, and he just ended the call. Sorted now by blocking his number without buying anything!

Later on, I got a text saying it was from the DVLA, claiming I had some road tax refund waiting and that it was my last chance to claim it. They asked for my bank info and everything. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent, claiming she was from "unfit" or somethin, couldn’t quite catch it clearly. She had my house number and postcode, but not my street name, and she even called me by my first name. I kept her on the line for a bit, but when I refused to give any details or confirm anything, she just ended the call.

Got a ring from a bloke with an Indian accent, said he was from something like Youbenefit or Ubenefit. Asked if I had a minute for some questions. I told him this is a landline registered with the TPS and he shouldn't be ringing me. He didn’t seem to get it or just ignored it, kept going on anyway. Then he kept guessing what my name might be, trying all sorts of options.

Before my phone even rang, this bloke said his firm was sending me some gadget to stop annoying calls and wanted me to cough up £79. He kept pushing that I had to pay straight away. When I said I hadn’t got a card, he told me to find one and he’d ring me back later. He seemed to reckon I was an old pensioner or something.

I was driving so couldn’t quite catch what he was saying, told him that and he just ended the call. He asked if I was the one who lived there, which made me chuckle a bit. After that, he started talking really quickly.

Then said they were ringing from House and Home or something like that. I couldn’t be bothered and just ended the call. These calls come through a couple of times every day now. Honestly, the government should really step in and make this kind of thing illegal.
