Had a right nightmare with some scammer woman who kept having issues with her account. She claimed she couldn’t show any proof because she only used phone banking. Took me ages to work it all out, and unfortunately, I ended up losing quite a bit in the end.

I just got a text from Halifax about a payment to H Kamil, said it was confirmed on the 16th at 5:01pm. I didn’t make that payment, so be careful and check if it wasn’t you too. They gave a link to cancel it just in case: Halifax.request-auth.link. Better safe than sorry!

Got a dodgy message today that said something like, "Halifax: Payment to H Kamil set for 16/10 at 17:01. If you didn’t authorise this, cancel it immediately:" Definitely sounded like a scam to me.
