My mum almost got duped by one of those panic scams. The caller said they were from "The Bank" and told her she’d been charged twice - once for £99 and again for £700. They were even trying to pass her along to some call centre or something. Proper banks like Lloyds or TSB would always tell you straight away who they are, so this just felt fishy.
