This morning around 9, I got a recorded call. The voice said it was from the "National Crime Agency" about some alleged wrongdoing linked to my National Insurance Number and that it was about to be suspended, possibly leading to my arrest. They asked me to press 1. Personally, I found it quite funny, but I can see how others might panic when faced with a call like this. It’s a fresh twist on the usual scams we hear about. I've had loads of calls pretending to be from HMRC before, but this was a new one for me.
