I was looking at some puppies on Pets4Homes and needed to switch over to another app, which I thought was fine. But after I sent the deposit, the ad just vanished and the seller disappeared completely. Tried calling them, but the phone was switched off, probably blocked me or something. If you're buying pets, definitely stick to the site and dont communicate outside of it!

Beware of this number, it’s linked to a scammer. A mate of mine was trying to buy a kitten and the person on the other end kept demanding extra cash supposedly for a deposit. When we turned up at the supposed address, the people living there told us they’d also fallen victim to the same con. They ask for personal info for ‘vet paperwork’ alongside a £100 deposit, then keep pushing for more money claiming it’s vet fees. The woman on the phone was really pushy and rude. If you’ve looked this number up, don’t deal with them and make sure you report it to Action Fraud right away.
