I got a text from the number 07904 633628 saying "hsbc: payment confirmed to a mr c jones. If you didnt authorise this payment, cancel it now" with a link to hsbc. mypayee.(###]. Problem is, we dont have any hsbc account and when I try to call back from a landline it just goes straight to ee voicemail. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a text today saying it was from HSBC about a payment made to someone called Mr C Jones. The message had a link to click if I hadn’t authorised the payment. Felt dodgy straight away since I don't even have an HSBC account and it came from just a normal mobile number. Decided to block the number immediately.
