I got a text from this number claiming to be from Halifax, warning me about a payment attempt made from an unregistered device. It instructed me to reach out via an email that didn’t even include Halifax in the address. Quite puzzling, right? What's more, there was no mention of my name, any part of my address, or even my account number. Plus, why on earth would my bank be messaging me from a mobile number? It all adds up to me thinking this is a dodgy scam attempt. Best to steer clear!
