I received a text message promising some food and a couple of bottles of wine. We've absolutely no idea who sent it, but it can't possibly be from anyone we know-definitely seems a bit suspect to me!

What a right pickle this has turned out to be! We thought we recognised the number and assumed it was someone having a laugh at our expense, so we ended up responding quite a bit. Then, just like that, the messages stopped. It started off with chat about dinner, wine, and all that jazz. The odd bit was mention of someone called Nick from Formby near Liverpool. Take my advice; don’t be a muppet like we were and steer clear of replying!

Blimey, we really fell for this one! Thought it was someone we knew having a laugh, so we engaged plenty. But then, the messages just stopped out of the blue. It all started up again, talking about dinner and wine, claiming to be Nick from Formby near Liverpool. Save yourself the trouble and don’t respond, or you’ll end up looking just as silly as we did!
