My doctor's messages usually come from 'NHSNoReply' and don't show a phone number. So this definitely isn't my GP calling.

Got a weird text about some phone appointment on the 21st. It didn’t mention what the appointment was about or who actually sent it. They told me not to pop into the surgery, which is fine by me since I wasn’t planning on turning up anyway! I guess it could be from the doctor’s office, but since I’m not expecting anything, I’m thinking it’s probably a scam. I’ll ring the surgery tomorrow to check if it’s legit or not.

I got a message asking what I knew about internet stuff, like how good I was with it. I just ignored it and didn’t reply at all. It came from a mobile phone.

The number popped up as EE, saying I could get points to claim headphones and other cool stuff. They asked for 0.01 pence but I didn’t pay it. Looked pretty genuine, but I noticed that same number is marked as spam by others.

Got a call from my doctor asking if I wanted to book a jab. Seems legit enough to me.

I got a text about some health survey that said it might come online or through the post. It didn't ask me to share any details or do anything, so I'm not too bothered. Normally when my GP contacts me, it says GPSurgery or something like that. I don't think it's a scam, but I’d still keep an eye out just in case.

Got a call from my doctor asking about my ethnicity to update NHS England records, apparently they're refreshing patient info at the moment.

Got a text from someone claiming to be Poole Primary Care Centre, asking about my tech knowledge to help them understand what people need better. They wanted me to press a number that fit me. It felt fishy, so I checked the number online first. Really glad I did that. I deleted the message straight away. This looks like a risky scam to me.

I just ended up blocking that number straight away.

Strange thing happened the day after my birthday - I got a message from this number saying “Simon attempted to drop off your parcel, click here to reschedule delivery.” We have a Ring doorbell, and though we weren’t home, there was no ring or knock at the door. Plus, I wasn’t expecting any packages and nobody delivering would have my phone number anyway. It definitely looked like a scam to me!

Got a text on my wife's phone from no number shown. Then, shortly after, I got one too but mine said it was from our GP practice. It was supposed to be a survey from Survey Monkey, but the link didn’t open at all. Bit frustrating!

so, i got this message saying the primary care network wants us to do a survey through SurveyMonkey. just to be clear, SurveyMonkey’s a legit company and the survey was really simple - just yes or no questions. nothing fishy or dodgy going on with it at all.

I got a call from someone saying they were from the NHS, trying to find out if I’d ever served in the military. They mentioned there were some special benefits or services for people connected to the armed forces. Seemed a bit fishy to me though.

No matter what, don't interact with this number. Just block it straight away and your phone might even get rid of it automatically. This is like the initial step in a scam where they try to get you comfortable with messages from them.

This number's pretending to be the NHS, definitely not legit. Be careful, it's a scam!

This number usually sends me texts about doctor appointments I've booked, but I’ve recently got some strange messages from it that don’t relate to me at all and seem kinda dodgy. I reckon it’s a legit number but for some reason it’s not properly protected. Could be linked to that eConsult thing they use.

Got a strange text saying something like "stay home, protect the NHS, save lives." Really odd, if you ask me. Best thing to do is just delete it straight away and don’t open any links, it’s probably dodgy.

Got this strange message saying something like "Remember the lockdown regulations. 1 in 3 folks with covid might not show symptoms and could unknowingly spread it. Stay home. Protect the NHS. Save lives. Cheers." It's a bit weird cause I don’t know who actually sent it. Maybe it's connected to some online consultations from my doctor, but not sure.

Got a text claiming to be from my doctor’s office, but it didn’t say which one. It said they’ll get in touch when the flu jabs are back in stock, so I can pop by for the vaccine. Thing is, I never asked for a flu jab. The message also told me not to ring the surgery’s main number because it has to stay free for emergency calls. Bit odd, if you ask me.

i got a message on my work phone which i havent given to my doctors. it said not to visit the surgery unless a clinician tells me to. also from the 15th of june, everyone has to wear a face covering in the surgery. it can be anything like a scarf, bandana or a mask made at home. they also want patients to come alone if they can. the message was full of spelling errors too.

Got a text that supposedly came from my GP's surgery saying I haven't agreed to an enhanced summary care record yet. It asked me to tap on a link so they could share my info with other NHS places. Felt a bit dodgy so I didn’t click anything.

Beware of fake links about work sick notes - it's a total scam. Don’t click on any dodgy links they send. I’ve actually got a text alert system from my GP here nearby, so I always know if a medical message is legit or not. Stay safe and don't get caught out!
