You really need to report this dodgy scam to the authorities. Just search for 'action fraud' and find the 'police.uk' website. Then hit the 'reporting' button and choose the phishing option from the menu. Scroll down beyond the scam email details and you can begin reporting the scam. No signup required. Got a WhatsApp message that seemed to be from my Aunt. Said she’d mistakenly sent me a code by text and asked me to send it back straight away. The way it was worded didn’t sound like her at all, so I got suspicious. Turned out her phone was hacked. NEVER share those codes, and make sure to change your passwords just in case!!!

This number sends messages pretending to be from WhatsApp, asking you to click on a link to verify your account. If you click it, they can get into your phone. Action Fraud know about this, and WhatsApp has confirmed this number isn’t theirs. I had my social media hacked and even got added to some dodgy groups, including some s#### ones, with numbers starting +1, +92, and others. Best to block and report, but the only way to fully stop it might be to change your phone number.

I got hacked on WhatsApp and now I cant access my account anymore. WhatsApp says this number isn’t connected to them at all. I got a text with a link and a verification code, clicked it and it sent me to the App Store but I still can’t log in. Seeing other people’s comments, it looks like I’m not alone in this. My WhatsApp got compromised after I clicked a link sent in a text. Wish I’d checked this site before! I was locked out for three days. When I got back in, I changed my password and saw some dodgy groups, including one with swear words, all muted and archived. There were also messages asking my mates for six-digit codes, claiming it was urgent. WhatsApp support was pretty useless about it, so I’m just gonna delete my account. I’ve let the police know too.

Watch out for these dodgy scammers! They want to hijack your WhatsApp by attempting to sign you in on their phone using your number. You’ll get a message with some “activation code”, hoping you’ll tap the link and give them access. If you do, they can lock you out of your own account! Yeah, total scam. I got a WhatsApp message pretending to be a mate of mine. Then, suddenly, it started kicking people out of group chats. It asked for my two-factor code and dumb me actually gave it. I reckon I’m gonna have to switch my number now.

This number popped up when I was trying to register on WhatsApp and asked me to enter a code. Then it showed a message I had got with two harmless pics attached, which made me suspicious. I’ve deleted everything related to it, but it’s weird that it could get into my emails and even use those photos to look legit. Got hacked on WhatsApp - added to random groups without me seeing, all kept on mute. These groups had dodgy links that drag you in automatically. Contacted WhatsApp support but all they did was point me to their FAQs, no real help. When you open these groups to clear messages, everything gets saved on your phone which could lead to serious security issues or even illegal stuff, plus they might get deeper access to your device. The only way I found to stop this mess was to switch to a new number.

This looks like one of those phone hacker scams on WhatsApp. Don’t respond to any texts or share any codes sent from this number. If you do, they can lock you out of your WhatsApp and start chatting with your contacts, trying to get personal info. The cops have been told about this. Got a call from an Asian bloke who when I asked for my personal info, couldn’t give me much. Kept pressing him and all he managed was my last name and address. Honestly, if you know who I am, why can’t you answer a simple question? Told him if I google his number, it’ll show “scammer”!
