This number has rung me twice today already, and I just didn’t pick up since I wasn’t expecting anyone to call my landline. I didn’t have a clue whose number it was. Glad I didn’t bother answering and get caught up in some dodgy scam.

Got a call from Veronica claiming to be from BT. Turns out I’m not a BT customer at all :-(

Got a recorded call claiming to be from BT, saying my internet had been cut off. They asked me to stay on the line to speak with a security officer, but I ended the call right away. Pretty clear scam if you ask me.

I didn't pick up when this unknown number rang. After reading some of the comments, it seems handy to block it.

I got a recorded call from someone called Veronica claiming to be with BT, saying my landline was hacked by a group of hackers. She asked me to hold the line, then suddenly a guy with an American accent came on, and after that the call just dropped.

Got another call from that Veronica bloke again, had to add her number to my blocked list now.

Got a recorded message saying my number was involved in some criminal activity and that I should hold to speak to a security agent. I hung up straight away, pretty sure it was just a scam trying to trick me.

Got the same call as before. There was a recorded warning about my internet being hacked, telling me to hold on to talk to someone. Then, an American accent came on, and half way through the call, it just cut off. Wish I got to talk to a real person, I’d have made sure to tell them to get lost!!!!
