Got a text telling me to ‘save this new number’ from someone claiming to be my mum. Problem is, I don’t even have kids! Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a text saying "Dad save this new number" but no name included!! I’m really suspicious of this one! None of my kids would send a message without telling me who they are - they’d always add their name so I’d actually trust it and save the number. Just to add, my kids haven’t spoken to me in more than 20 years and wouldn’t suddenly be trying to get in touch out of the blue like this. Seems like a dodgy scam if you ask me!
