Got a dodgy WhatsApp message going around saying everyone in the UK is now automatically signed up to be an organ donor unless they opt out. Supposedly, if you don’t act, your organs will belong to the government after you die starting from spring 2020. The message includes a sketchy link to “opt out” quickly for you and your family, claiming it only takes a minute. It also urges you to forward it to everyone you know, warning that not opting out will delay your body being released for burial. It looks really suspicious to me, so be careful with it.

I just got a weird WhatsApp message which sounded super dodgy. It said something like all people living in the UK are automatically added to an organ donor list from spring 2020 unless they opt out. The text claimed your organs and tissues would then belong to the government after death and urged you to click a link to opt out quickly - apparently it takes a minute. It also said you should share it with everyone you know, warning that if you don’t opt out, your body would be held up before burial. Honestly, it looks like a scam trying to make folks panic. Be careful with these messages!
