Our office phone got a call from this number and when we picked up, it was some recorded message saying something like, "Dear customer, this is an automated call for payment confirmation and fraud prevention. Your payment of £XXX requires a code of XXXX. If you didn't ask for this code, press 1 to connect with our customer support." We always use 2FA apps for our bank verification, so I’m pretty sure this is a scam. I seriously recommend blocking this number straight away and don’t respond to it at all.

I got a call from an overseas call centre, pretending they were from BT saying there was an issue with my internet. Total scam, don’t trust them!
