Got a call from some Indian scammers pretending to be BT, talking about supposed "errors and warning alerts" and some nonsense about my IP switching from private to public. Their goal was to trick me into downloading AnyDesk so they could remotely access my PC and nick my info. They even knew the name linked to my landline, which made me suspect there’s been a BT data leak somewhere. Like many companies, BT seems to have recklessly outsourced stuff to low-paid agents in India, thinking there’d be no issues. This number was almost surely a random one made up by their VOIP software.
