I got a text on my phone claiming to be from Barclays, saying I had a One Time Passcode for a payment at Asda along with a reference number. The message then told me to ring their fraud team on 0330 165 9503 if I hadn’t made the payment. Thinking it sounded odd, I looked up Barclays fraud contact on their official site and rang them. They confirmed it was a scam text, and that Barclays wouldn’t use a mobile number to send those messages. Definitely phishing!
